entender mucho qué eran aquellas asignaturas tan raras, o si es que no sabían pronunciar. Tintura al
bóleo debería ser pintura al óleo, y patín y riego serían latín y griego, pero lo que es las otras, se le
escapaban.
--Teníamos díez horas al día el primer día. Luego, el segundo día, nueve y así sucesivamente.
--Pues me resulta un horario muy extraño --observó la niña.
--Por eso se llamaban cursos, no entiendes nada. Se llamaban cursos porque se acortaban de día en día.
Eso resultaba nuevo para Alicia y antes de
hacer una nueva pregunta le dio unas cuantas vueltas al
asunto.
Por fín preguntó:
--Entonces, el día once, sería fiesta, claro.
--Naturalmente que sí --respondió la Falsa Tortuga.
--¿Y el doceavo?
--Basta de cursos ya --ordenó el Grifo
autoritariamente. --Cuéntale ahora algo sobre los juegos.

`What a curious plan!' exclaimed Alice.

This was quite a new idea to Alice, and she thought it over a little
before she made her next remark. `Then the eleventh day
must have been a holiday?'
`Of course it was,' said the Mock Turtle.
`And how did you manage on the twelfth?' Alice went on eagerly.
`That's enough about lessons,' the Gryphon interrupted in a very decided
tone: `tell her something about the games now.'
